Overview

Adrienne Partridge, Ph. D. is an organizational psychologist who specializes in somatic career and leadership coaching. Her main demographic is high-achieving, heart-centered women who want more out of their careers and/or want to develop their own leadership style.

Objective

She desired a new website that facilitated higher engagement and better reflected her updated services and her warm, no-nonsense personality.

Research Strategy

  • Client interview
  • Reviewing prior assets and website versions
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Industry research

Pain Points and Solutions

Pain Points/Insights

Stakeholders were heavily involved in research and solutions. This was a highly collaborative process. I gathered their expertise and experiences to develop these insights.

  • Lower engagement - fewer people clicked to contact than previous versions of the site
  • Information overload:
  • Too much to parse. Filled with great quotes and good information, but overwhelming in presentation. Not easily scannable
  • Process a little muddy
  • Not enough personal elements (like photography and graphic elements) to convey Adrienne’s personality
  • Some minor accessibility faux pas

Solutions

Sticky “Book Free Consultation” button so it’s always available

Pared down information into easily digestible bits with extra large, scannable headlines

  • Not everyone wants to read everything, but it should be easy to navigate to and find information.
  • Clarified the points of difference in her process

Warm everything up a little, with a warmer color palette and touches of scripted typeface

Bits of stylized copy scattered throughout to drive home important points while maintaining a friendly, conversational tone.

Screenshot of a Tiffany green section with the header: "Wondering if a nervous system-led approach could help you experience more fulfillment in your career and life?" There are two side-by-side paragraphs and two buttons: "Learn about Career Coaching" and "Learn About Leadership Coaching"
Screenshot of original site. This section's header: "What is people-pleasing, and how does it affect our career and the way we lead?" There is a paragraph and below that are two rough Tiffany blue circles with a paragraph each. Over one circle it says "How can it hold us back?" and over the other circle it says "Why start with the nervous system?"
Screenshot of the original site. The title of this section is "What is Your Innate Edge(tm) Method?" There is a photo of Adrienne dressed professionally and smiling on a couch. Her blazer is a similar rust brown to the couch and creates a nice monotone palette. There are four paragraphs to the right.
